Bulgur grains are carefully ground and they have a particularly good nutritional content: Bulgur is rich in B vitamins, vitamin E, phosphorus, magnesium and calcium. In addition, the wheat meal contains starch and fiber, which ensure the satiety effect.
Preparation of bulgur:
Bulgur should be washed before preparation. To do this, wash the bulgur in a fine sieve until the water runs clear.
Because bulgur is already pre-cooked, it is quick and easy to prepare. Usually it only needs to soak in hot water or broth before it is ready to be consumed after around twenty minutes. You can also soak bulgur in cold water overnight. The process then takes about eight to twelve hours. Note that when swelling, the wheat meal increases two to three times its volume. Six tablespoons of the dried product are usually sufficient for two servings. You usually need at least twice the amount of water to prepare bulgur. Pay attention to the instructions on the packaging.
